International iron and steel association (worldsteel) statistics show that in 2013 in June 64 major steel-producing countries and regions in the world crude steel output of 131.7 million tons, up 1.9% year on year, up 2.8% from 2011. June crude steel output of 14.17 million tons, the European Union's 27 countries fell 3.5% year on year, fell by 9.3% in 2011. Commonwealth of independent states (cis) crude steel output of 9.32 million tons, up 0.8% year on year, up 0.4% from 2011. North American crude steel output of 9.79 million tons, up 0.1% from a year earlier, down 1.4% compared with 2011; South America's crude steel output of 3.76 million tons, fell 1.5% year on year, down 9.1% compared with 2011. Asia's crude steel output of 87.89 million tons, up 3.5% year on year, up 6.8% from 2011. The statistics also show that in the first half of this year, 64 major steel-producing countries and regions in the world total crude steel output of 790 million tons, up 2.0% from a year earlier. In the first half of the crude steel output of 84.3 million tons, the European Union's 27 countries fell 5.1% year on year. The commonwealth of independent states (cis) crude steel output of 55.01 million tons, fell 3.0% year on year; North American crude steel output of 59.12 million tons, fell 5.8% year on year; South America's crude steel output of 22.54 million tons, fell 4.6% year on year; Asia's crude steel output of 529 million tons, up 5.5% from a year earlier. In June, mainland China's crude steel output of 64.66 million tons, up 4.6% from a year earlier, up 8.1% from 2011. After deducting China, global crude steel production is 66.99 million tons, in June fell 0.6% year on year, down 1.8% compared with 2011. Global steel capacity utilization rate of 79.2% in June, is down about 0.4% in May, down 1.5% compared with June last year. Global crude steel output of 4.388 million tons a day in June, year-on-year growth of 1.9%, year-on-year. Although the main regions in the world steel market began to turn for the better in July, but the utilization of Asian steel mills still seasonal decline, the European steel mills enter the summer break, capacity utilization rate also fell slightly, while the rebound in demand, steel mill capacity continue to improve, global crude steel output in July as a whole is expected from slightly down. |
